The School Council provides ACA parents and staff a pivotal role in ACA’s academic operation contributing to the betterment of our academic and social policies and procedures, as well as having a positive impact on our community. Every 2 years, the PTA (Parent Teacher Association) and School Council hold elections. You may nominate yourself and/or another candidate.
Candidates must consent to be nominated and be nominated by at least 2 people to qualify. The School Council President attends monthly ACA Board meetings. We have attached the charters, election timeline, and nomination forms.
ACA encourages parent involvement and strives to support a strong family-school partnership with activities guided by the National PTA principles and standards. Your time and talents are our #1 resource as it increases student achievement, enhances self-esteem, and improve behavior, and school attendance. The primary purpose of the ACA PTA (Parent-Teacher Association) is to promote the welfare of children at school and at home by focusing on education, social events, and sports. The PTA is a forum where parents can get involved in and support various school initiatives by hosting programs and events that enhance the relationship between home and school so that parents, administrators, and teachers may cooperate in the education of the students. When you join ACA PTA, you have the right to vote for the policies that are important decisions that directly affect our school and events.
