A Note From the Dean of Student Services
Assalamu Aleikum dear parents,
My name is Jamil Anouti and it is my pleasure and privilege to serve as the new Dean of Student Services for Arizona Cultural Academy.
The Dean of Students Services is responsible for the success of your children within ACA. We are tasked with creating a culture of trust, honesty and mutual respect among students and teachers. By placing your children in a private Islamic school, I recognize that you are investing deeply in the development of their academic and spiritual growth. As such, I wanted to write an open letter stating my philosophy on how I intend to approach this role.
I will treat your children as I would my own, and make their academic, physical, emotional and spiritual health my number one priority. I will do my best to be as transparent as I can with my actions and decisions throughout my tenure at ACA and will send regular updates and hold open sessions with our diverse and skilled community. I hope you will feel encouraged to voice your feedback and join me as we strive to create a school and culture that enables the children within it to succeed.
I have identified six core values and objectives that will become the organizing principles for our upcoming school year:

Objective: To create a community of trust, respect, responsibility, fairness, and care.

Objective: To help our students find a deeper spiritual connection and meaning, while maintaining a balance on their identity as realized through the love of God and His Messenger (PBUH)
Teamwork - If you want to go quickly, go alone. If you want to go far, go together. - African Proverb
Objective: To help each other succeed.

Objective: To extend our purpose beyond the classroom and instill in our students a sense of responsibility as Muslim-Americans.
I welcome the opportunity to meet and discuss with you the roles and responsibilities of my new role and plans for the upcoming school year.
