Welcome to another exciting and full adventure year at Arizona Cultural Academy. . I will be your child’s science teacher for the year 2010-2011. I look forward to working with you and your child in a successful year of Arizona Cultural Academy.

Let me take this opportunity to introduce myself. I am a secondary certified teacher with a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction and another Master’s degree in Botany. I have a varied experience of teaching Science to students at all age levels and backgrounds for the last 10 years.

The main goal I have is for each child to learn to the best of their ability. This means that I will do whatever I can to help each child learn in his/her way. I will try to create an atmosphere where students feel comfortable and safe to share their thoughts and what they've learned. I do not believe in covering the textbook cover to cover but want my students to understand what is taught in class before I can proceed to the next concept.

You are a key in making school life a positive experience. Therefore, I ask that you make school, homework, and other school projects a top priority, provide necessary supplies and a quiet homework environment. Don’t forget to provide praise and support.

I look forward to getting to know you and your child throughout the year. I will keep in touch through phone calls and notes, and conferences. If each student can have his/her parents and teacher working together, they will learn to their best ability.
