National (Junior) Honor Society
Arizona Cultural Academy is affiliated with the National
(Junior) Honor Society.
The purpose of this chapter is to create an enthusiasm
for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote worthy
leadership and citizenship, and to encourage the development of character in
students of Arizona Cultural Academy. The Advisor of this chapter is Sr. Iman
Sarsour.

Student Council
ACA Student Council is affiliated with the National Association of Student
Council.
The
primary purpose of the Arizona Cultural Academy Student Council is to
please Allah and to obey Him and His Prophet (SAW).
The Student Council will act as the voice of the entire students body, to
promote an open forum for ALL students, for expression and to allow avenues for
change, to stimulate a spirit of democracy, to encourage the participation and
cooperation of students in decisions regarding school policy, to promote
unity, brotherhood, and sisterhood among Muslims, to recognize and respect the diversity of our community, to
support worthy related causes, to promote social functions, school
spirit, and the overall best interests of the school and community.
The Student Council will act as
a
vehicle of communication between students, faculty, the surrounding community
and the administration of the school.
The council will serve as role models and ambassadors to the
community-at-large, representing the highest standard of conduct and character.
This organization exists to provide opportunities to develop and exhibit
leadership qualities in the student body.
At all times members of this organization are to promote and increase
school loyalty and spirit through example and attitude.
The council is obliged to coordinate spiritual, social and service
opportunities for the student body.

Editorial Board
has been producing an annual yearbook,
newsletter and organizes Picture Day. It takes a lot of talent with computer and
cameras but it is great training experience. All students are welcome to submit
articles, art work, photography, poetry, and so on to the newsletter. Please
contact the Advisor: Sr. Kristy Sabbah.

Choir
is a beautiful blend of voices of all ages. Every
Tuesday in the library, the choir practices their songs. Masha'Allah they sing
songs of many languages including Arabic, Chinese, Malay, Urdu, Turkish and
English. They perform at most ACA events and have also performed out in the
community.

Drum Band
meets every Wednesday, this year has been exciting
for the members because they have composed their own order of beats. The Drum
Band usually performs with the Choir.

Tae Kwon Do
is a type of martial arts. It teaches children
discipline while teaching them how to defend themselves. They meet in the Masjid
weekly and the students enjoy earning new belts by learning forms and
strategies. Our club is run under the sponsorship of the American Taekwondo
Association. Students may take part in ATA tournaments at city, state and
national levels.

Qur'an Reading Club:
meets on Wednesdays. Imam Didmar leads
students in Tajweed reading of the Holy Qur'an. Practice makes perfect. No
stress, no homework, just enjoy reading.
