“We are ACA. We empower our community with knowledge, spirit and service”

ACA P.T.A

What We Do

Researchers and practitioners have long acknowledged a strong link between parent involvement and children's success in school. ACA encourages parent involvement because it increases student achievement, enhances self-esteem, improves behavior, and betters school attendance.

The primary purpose of the ACA PTA (Parent - Teacher Association) is to promote the welfare of the children at school and home by focusing of education, social events and sports. PTA is a forum where parents can get involved in and support various school initiatives.  If you are interested in learning more about PTA and its activities, please send an email to aca.pta@azacademy.org

Committee Structure

Mission: “Engaging and empowering families and community to advocate for our children”

ACA PTA strives to support a strong family-school partnership with activities guided by the National PTA principles and standards. Your time and talents are our #1 resource as we work to help our children succeed. When you join ACA PTA, you have the right to vote for the policies that are important decisions that directly affect our school and events.

Our goal is to have 100% of our teachers, staff, and family as members. Once you have signed up for membership, you can volunteer and attend meetings. PTA welcomes YOUR ideas, so be sure to share them with one of our executive members! Your time and effort on behalf of our students, families, and staff are much appreciated!

Who We Are

Ahlam Samad - President

My name is Ahlam Samad.  My husband and I have three children attending Arizona Cultural Academy; Hamza, Ahmed, and Yousuf. I am a stay at home mom and part-time student.

I have been an active member of the P.T.A for the past 2 years and really enjoy making a difference at Arizona Cultural Academy. I volunteered as a room parent for two years at my children’s previous school.  I believe promoting school pride and creating a memorable experience is an important part of a student's education. I look forward to working towards these goals with  ACA families and community.
