My name is Marwa Abouchaer. I am the Arabic, Quran, and Islamic studies teacher for First

I am from Syria, and a native Arabic speaker. I got my high school diploma from Jeddah, (Saudi Arabia 2000). After finishing my high school I went to a special school that focuses on Tajweed according to Imam Hafi’s school of thought . I graduated with a certificate in reading the whole Quran with Tajweed , and was certified to teach Tajweed. I also worked as a pre-school teacher, in a full time memorization Quran school ( Dar Al Ameen, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia). I also served as a judge in several Quran competitions.
I have a Bachelors degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a Concentration in Education and Psychology. (The University of Memphis, Memphis, TN 2007). During that time, I have attended numerous educational conferences and training workshops. I also volunteered in the public school).
In addition, I have a Master Of Arts in Education Degree, majors in two areas: K-12, and special education (Michigan State University, Detroit, MI 2010) .
This is my forth year teaching in ACA. And Insha Allah, this year, I will be teaching Arabic, Quran, and Islamic studies teacher for First and Second grade and Quran and Arabic teacher for Third grade.
I am so excited to work with your child. I love kids so much, and I am looking forward to making Arabic a lovely language for your child especially because it is the language of the Quran. Also, I am looking forward to make Quran and Islamic rules inside your child’s heart. And make it not only words or rules but active in their behaviors and actions.
I encourage all parents to contact me whenever they have a concern or question. I am open to any advice, ideas that would help our students.
