Dear Parents,
Assalamu Alaikum
My name is Iman Sarsour. This is my sixteenth year in teaching at different grade levels. I earned my Bachelor Degree in Social Work from Al-Quds University in Jerusalem. I had three years of training in different elementary and middle schools in Jerusalem. The training in various schools made me interested in teaching. I was an educator for two years in Jerusalem at the elementary level. My career as an educator and teacher continued when I moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I worked as a teacher for ten years and as an Islamic Studies department head for two years. I was also the school advisor for the Ansar (helpers) program.
I joined ACA in 2006 as a Quran and Islamic Studies teacher. I carried other responsibilities which included Islamic Studies chairperson, School Counselor, NHS and the NJHS advisor, and event coordinator throughout my career years in ACA.
Currently I am the Islamic studies teacher for 1st to 5th grade and the Quran teacher for 1st to 4th grade.
I serve on the Arizona Scholarship Fund, NCA and Public Relation committees in support of ACA.
