Dear parents, Asalamu Alaykum!
My name is HAZAR AL-HAMAWI, I’m the Arabic teacher and I
would like to welcome your child in my class. I will be
teaching 4th through 7th grade.
I’m originally from Lebanon, where I received my Bachelor’s
degree from (Arabic university of Beirut).
I am looking forward to getting to know both you and your
children this year. Good communication between parent,
teacher, and student is very important for your child’s
Academic growth.
From my experience, we have to use different methodologies
to let the student like the Arabic, because I realize that
teaching Arabic as a second language to children who do not
“think” in Arabic and who do not speak it well, requires a
different methodology.
Teaching a second language is not easy thing, but it is not
impossible, it is a great job you feel that you do something
precious. However it is a flexible language and very fun to
start with.
As you know Arabic is the language used by the Prophet and
is the language the Quran was written in. It is also the
most widely spoken and the oldest existing language in the
world.
Each evening, you can expect your child to arrive at home
with his or her homework written in the assignment notebook.
Please review this information daily with your child.
If you have any question or concerns, please feel free to
e-mail me at hhamwi@hotmail.com or set up a conference.
Thank you .
