My name is Suzan Sabawi and I’m the home room teacher for the 5th grade. I will be teaching Language arts, math and social studies. I’m also the 6th grade language Arts and Social Studies Teacher. I am a graduate of California State University Bakersfield majoring in Liberal Studies/Teaching. I have my Masters in Elementary Education with certification emphasis from Northern Arizona University.

I am certified elementary school teacher through the state of Arizona. I have been in the field of education for the past 4 years as a teacher, volunteer or a substitute. I am bilingual in Arabic and English with good academic command of both languages. I feel very fortunate to have studied In Amman Jordan where I finished my high school and 3 years of English literature in the University of Jordan.

I have been exposed to a variety of cultures and educational streams which I feel strengthens my style of teaching. Being an immigrant myself I think my experience and diverse education will come in handy with the diverse students we have in the school.

As a mother of two girls I strongly believe in the importance of raising our kids in an Islamic environment especially when we live miles away from our home countries. Alhamdu lillah ACA offers a great Islamic environment in addition to the strong academic and college prep program. I am happy and proud to have my daughters in this school. I have been admiring the graduates of this school and following up on their success at ASU and hope that my girls will follow in their footsteps.
